I get it, and I agree that there is a point when our debt, because of its massive size, becomes unpayable. That we can never overcome the interest that is due.
But "what if" someone like Trump were to discover a way to actually do the impossible, and repay that "unpayable" debt.
...that it wouldn't matter. That if the Principle begins to be paid down, it makes no difference.
Forget the gold standard, doesn't this mean we were doomed way back in 1913 with the formation of the IRS?
