Thank you Brother Britt, clear and on point. Lifting you, your family, and the watchman community in prayer. You all seem to be under heightened attacks🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 Thank you for your service and faith in the promises of our Lord to persevere.🙏
I don’t agree that Isaiah 17 is a future prophecy. Only verse one refers to Damascus and it just says it will cease from being a city but it doesn’t say permanently. Verse two is about the cities of Aroer which was in Judah, and on down the list of areas mentioned through chapter 17, areas which saw these things happen back in that time.
I used to think this was a future prophecy bc it was taught by so many for so long. When you study it for yourself with Holy Spirit guidance it seems much different than the typical view. I just learned yesterday that Mark Hitchcock also thinks as I do, that it isn’t a future prophecy. I think everyone should read it personally with an open mind after praying for discernment. Really we should be doing that every time we pick up our Bibles anyway.
I’m just praying that Jesus is coming to take His bride out of here soon. Things are getting intense. Personally, things are hard too and I’m struggling to deal with it all and not get too down. I want to share Jesus and do so cheerfully. I want to do a lot of things but my health is interfering a bit more than it had been, flaring of issues that don’t ever completely go away, including chronic pain. I have days that aren’t too bad and then days that are. It can get discouraging. It’s been 27 years of a health roller coaster and I’m more than ready to get off. It seems every time I try to do more for the Lord, that’s when things flare up again.
So I get feeling under attack by the enemy. I pray we can all hold on and stand strong until that glorious day. Come Lord, Jesus, come quickly!!
Hi Dakota Grace. Thank you for your post. I went back to re-read and re-read Isaiah 17 and Jeremiah 49. I’ve haven’t looked for Mark Hitchcock in about dozen years after release of his book The End. I also checked with Don Stewart, Educating Our World, and he states it’s a common mistake but Isaiah 17 is not a future prophecy of end times destruction, it occurred long ago. Recent history, people have been fleeing for many years. Four days ago the central bank of Syria in Damascus was looted by armed jihadists. Bob
One other scenario could be the desire of the rebels to make Hezbollah pay for atrocities committed under the Assad regime, invades Lebanon which triggers Israel.

My take is for the destruction of Damascus to happen after Rapture and sometime around Ezekiel 38-39 and Armageddon.
