The Next Manhattan Project is Underway Right Now
And You Need to Understand the Enormous Change That’s Coming…
In the 1930’s, countless physicists and scientists all over the world argued over a theoretical concept. The discovery of nuclear fission launched a debate over the possible development of an atomic bomb. Several nations initiated projects to pursue the development of atomic weapons, including the United States, the Soviet Union, Nazi Germany, and Imperial Japan. The U.S. became the first to successfully acquire an atomic bomb through a crash program known as The Manhattan Project.
On August 6, 1945, the general public first became aware of atomic weapons when “Little Boy” was dropped on Hiroshima, Japan. Up until that moment, most people in the world remained ignorant of the possibility such a weapon could be created. The bombing of Hiroshima (and Nagasaki three days later) was their first introduction to the concept of atomic weapons.
In similar fashion, many physicists, scientists, academics, and researchers today understand the profound implications of another theoretical breakthrough which promises to revolutionize every aspect of human life. It's reasonable to believe many nations have been in pursuit of this breakthrough for several years now. Lack of news stories highlighting such pursuits is not sufficient to assume such programs aren’t underway. In fact, just the opposite is true.
Similar to The Manhattan Project, for national security reasons, such pursuits take place in secret. While the pursued breakthrough remains only theory as of this writing, it's only a matter of time until it’s achieved. Once it is, the world will transform overnight. And, as with the atomic bomb, the sudden appearance of a new technology they never conceived possible will totally blindside the public.
How suddenly will they be blindsided? Almost overnight, if not literally overnight, they’ll go from ignorant of the possibility of this technology’s existence to watching others use it to conquer the entire world and establish a global empire.
How Will This Modern Day Manhattan Project Lead to Global Empire?
To understand why we would see global empire, you first have to understand why we haven’t yet seen World War III. Because any attempt to conquer the globe today would trigger a nuclear war that makes global domination impractical, if not impossible. Since 1949, mutual assured destruction (MAD) has been the linchpin of international peace. Fear of total destruction, the idea no one can win a war between two nuclear powers, is all that’s kept us from World War III. But the breakthrough achievement that’s coming will change that.
Overnight, it will render MAD obsolete. It will radically alter the global balance of power. Consider this… What if a nation could disable nuclear missiles before they’re launched? Or, even if they were launched, what if they could destroy those missiles before they reach their target? We’re fast approaching a time when both scenarios are possible. And all of this will emerge as the direct result of a crash government program fueled by national security concerns.
Think about how the world has already changed. Conventional warfare is obsolete. Drones dominate the battlefield in the Russia-Ukraine war. Drones have the decisive advantage in the Red Sea conflict. Houthi rebels, who lack all the presumed advantages of the United States and its allies, have shut down shipping traffic in the Red Sea. All this signals the beginning of a new era.
Drones now dominate.
But drones are also the future of warfare. We’re only in the beginning moments of the drone warfare revolution. What happens as drones become smaller and more powerful? What happens when swarms of drones the size of bees or mosquitoes attack a conventional army? What if they attack nuclear warheads? What if swarms of tiny underwater drones hunt down and disable nuclear submarines? The coming breakthrough will make all these scenarios possible as well.
The Future of Warfare
As mentioned, we’re only in the earliest stages of military drone development. Artificial Intelligence (AI) will play a significant role in transforming today’s drones into a new generation of smaller, lighter, faster, and stronger vehicles. Some drones today operate in what the media might characterize as “swarms,” but again, these swarms are only a shadow of what’s to come. As AI progresses, we’ll see larger swarms of decentralized drones operating in tandem on the battlefield.
These synchronized drones let us see the future of warfare. If you want to know where the world is going, think about it like this... Have you ever seen a large flock of birds flying in unison? They look like a cloud. And the whole flock can shift left, right, up, or down – all in a split second. Despite their quick shifts, these birds act as one. They aren’t disorganized or disjointed. They fly in perfect harmony as if they have a single mind. We observe similar behavior in schools of fish, bees, locusts, gnats, and all sorts of animals.
Now, imagine one of these groups is coming to get you. If a swarm of bees is coming to get you, would a shotgun do any good? No. You can fire into a swarm of bees, and you might take out a few. But the swarm will keep coming. This is because the power of a swarm is decentralized. A single strike on any part of the swarm (if it manages to do any damage at all) won’t stop the swarm.
Does this sound scary? It should. This is the future of warfare. As technology advances, synchronized drones will get smaller and smaller, faster and faster, and ever more powerful. In the near future, one nation will use them to attack a nation only armed with conventional weapons. What do you think will happen when combat drones traveling like a swarm of bees attack a conventional army? How effective will tank fire or heat seeking missiles be when directed at a swarm? That’s right. They’ll be just as effective as firing a shotgun at a swarm of bees.
This Wall Street Journal headline illustrates what’s coming (and it’s still showing a rendering of an early stage drone swarm attack):
This is where our world is headed. Those nations that first develop swarm technology will rule over those nations that are slow to adapt. History has proved this lesson time and again. Charging columns of soldiers were effective once – until machine guns arrived. Racing soldiers on horseback were once effective too – until armored tanks arrived. We can all cite countless examples of new military technologies making tried-and-true weapons and tactics obsolete. The same will prove true with swarm technology. And it will completely transform the world’s current balance of power.
If you’re struggling to visualize what this type of warfare will look like, I highly recommend watching this video:
It should be clear by now, decentralized drone swarms controlled by AI are the future of warfare. Many of these drones act as expendable munitions – that is, as suicide bombs. They blow themselves up as they reach their targets.
This changes the nature of weapons development and military production. Instead of taking a decade (and billions of dollars) to develop a sophisticated piece of high-end conventional hardware, the militaries of the world will seek to develop expendable drones at as low of a cost as possible. Billions of dollars will be poured into developing the software and AI systems to control those drones rather than the hardware itself. In doing so, whoever can manufacture the most drones at the lowest cost in the shortest timeframe will have an enormous advantage. This is evidenced by what we see governments doing right now. A race is underway to develop drones at scale on the battlefield. And the nation that achieves the coming breakthrough will have an insurmountable advantage.
The Replicator Initiative
The U.S. Department of Defense certainly understands this. That’s why in August 2023, they announced plans for something called The Replicator Initiative. The stated goal? At a National Defense Industrial Association conference, U.S. Deputy Defense Secretary Kathleen Hicks said Washington is initiating a program to launch thousands of land-, air-, and sea-based drones simultaneously.
"We've set a big goal for replicator,” Hicks said. “to field attritable, autonomous systems at a scale of multiple thousands [and] in multiple domains within the next 18-to-24 months. The "replication" isn't just about production. We also aim to replicate and inculcate how we will achieve that goal, so we can scale whatever is most efficient, effective and relevant in the future, again and again."
The message is clear. By the end of 2025, the United States wants the ability to launch thousands of land-, sea-, and air-based drones simultaneously. They also want a production system they can scale.
And that’s the key element.
The ability to manufacture mass quantities of drones at large scale (first thousands, then millions, then billions) and have them operate in synchronized, decentralized swarms is what will give a nation (or group of nations) the ability to circumvent MAD and establish a global empire. This is precisely what the United states is seeking. Don't doubt it for a moment. How can I be so sure? Aside from the stakes involved, the best indication is the name they chose for this program – The Replicator Initiative.
The program name itself uses a keyword – replicator – that first appeared in this context in the 1986 book Engines of Creation: The Coming Era of Nanotechnology by K. Eric Drexler. A replicator describes a machine that can design and construct a copy of itself with atomic precision, using something called an assembler – an assembler is the key component that will make molecular manufacturing possible. Whoever develops it will have enormous power:
“States could use assemblers or advanced AI systems to achieve sudden, destabilizing breakthroughs. I earlier discussed reasons for expecting that the advent of replicating assemblers will bring relatively sudden changes: Able to replicate swiftly, they could become abundant in a matter of days. Able to make almost anything, they could be programmed to duplicate existing weapons, but made from superior materials. Able to work with standard, well-understood components (atoms) they could suddenly build things designed in anticipation of the assembler breakthrough. These results of design-ahead could include programmable germs and other nasty novelties. For all these reasons, a state that makes the assembler breakthrough could rapidly create a decisive military force – if not literally overnight, then at least with unprecedented speed.”
What is he talking about here? He’s talking about the still theoretical, but soon-to-occur breakthrough. That breakthrough is known as molecular manufacturing. Go back and read the paragraph above a second time, but replace the word “assembler” with the term “molecular manufacturing.” If you do, you'll understand the power molecular manufacturing offers.
Molecular Manufacturing
So what is molecular manufacturing? Imagine for a moment you have the ability to move and "stack" atoms the same way you can move and stack a set of blocks. You pick up an atom, and you move it from here to there. In simple terms, that’s the promise of molecular manufacturing. And while it’s not quite that simple, the idea we'll one day control the basic building blocks of nature on a mass scale is very real. It's far from science fiction.
Still find it hard to visualize? Imagine for a moment something similar to the tip of a fine ink pen. Only this tip is much, much smaller. So small, in fact, its length is measured in terms of atoms instead of inches.
Now, imagine this device uses its “tip” to attract and repel molecules. They either cling to it or fall away from it. For example, using a weak chemical bond, such a device can hold a molecule on its “tip.” It could then move that molecule to another place where a stronger chemical bond is formed. Performed correctly, the weak bond will break and the molecule will attach itself to the stronger bond. This is similar to a powerful magnet pulling a metal object away from a weaker magnet. And this process positions those atoms perfectly to create different shapes.
This could be used to create a type of “manufacturing assembly line” at the molecular level. To illustrate, here’s an old video (almost 20 years old) conceptualizing how this will work:
Think this is nothing more than a daydream? You’re not alone. Others have claimed molecular manufacturing is infeasible for various reasons.
For instance, some have made the claim thermal noise makes molecular machines impossible. But that’s simple not true. After all, we’re not talking about anything new here. Just basic chemistry. It’s nothing more than the breaking and forming of chemical bonds. And that happens all the time in the natural world.
To claim molecular machines are impossible is to deny your own existence. Our bodies are molecular machines, and all plant and animal life is composed of molecular machines. They’ve existed since the dawn of creation. What’s new is the idea we can control those machines at the molecular level. Yet, time will transform the theoretical concept of human-controlled molecular machines into reality.
Each passing month brings us closer to the molecular manufacturing breakthrough. Here’s just a few headlines from the past 12 months:
Molecular Engineers Successfully Create a Working DNA "Nanomachine" (Oct 20, 2023)
Scientists Create Advanced DNA Nanomotor Using Supercomputing, Offering New Insights into Nanotechnology (January 23, 2024)
Japan's Institute for Molecular Science Accelerates Quantum Computing Efforts (March 13, 2024)
Self-Assembling and Disassembling Swarm Molecular Robots via DNA Molecular Controller (June 14, 2024)
And those are the achievements we hear about. Anything similar occurring in a top secret government program won’t make the news headlines.
Everything is About to Change
Once we can build things at the molecular scale, from the bottom up, rather than the top down, everything changes. Why? In this video, computer scientist and mathematician Ralph Merkle describes precisely why. He describes molecular manufacturing, which he calls molecular nanotechnology, as:
“The physical underpinning for the singularity.”
and
“The physical basis on which a lot of this stuff proceeds forward.”
What “stuff” is he referring to? Hardware for better computers… Lighter, stronger materials… Hardware for better medical technologies… And a whole lot more.
If you want to learn more, here’s a video of Engines of Creation author Eric Drexler describing in his own words how the world will change:
Once humanity achieves the breakthrough enabling molecular manufacturing, it will radically alter the current world order. It will come with several unavoidable consequences. One of them is the ability to conquer the globe.
In 2017, Vladimir Putin pointed this out while addressing a group of college students. Referring specifically to AI (but also the other advanced technologies AI will help facilitate), he said:
“Whoever becomes the leader in this sphere will become the ruler of the world.”
According to Vladimir Putin, the leader in artificial intelligence will conquer the world. What isn’t stated, but is implied, is the end of Mutual Assured Destruction. If MAD continues to reign, ruling the world through military conquest becomes impossible.
But Putin says a global empire is coming. He says one nation (or group of nations) will rule the world. He knows it. And other world leaders know it. Don’t doubt it, this was more than an offhand remark.
It was a public admission of an ongoing race. It’s a race among world governments. A race to develop not just AI, but molecular manufacturing. In this race, there’s no silver medal. The second place nations get nothing. The first place nation gets the whole world. That’s the scale of what’s at stake.
How Quickly Will This Come?
In his article "How’s This for a Bombshell – the US Must Make AI Its Next Manhattan Project," John Naughton addresses the thoughts of Leopold Aschenbrenner, a pioneer in the race to achieve artificial general intelligence (AGI). As Naughton notes:
“After 2028 comes the really big leap: from AGI to superintelligence. In Aschenbrenner’s universe, AI doesn’t stop at human-level capability. ‘Hundreds of millions of AGIs could automate AI research, compressing a decade of algorithmic progress into one year. We would rapidly go from human-level to vastly superhuman AI systems. The power – and the peril – of superintelligence would be dramatic.’”
This paints a picture of exponential change most people will find difficult, if not impossible, to comprehend. It means dramatic change will strike the world suddenly, with massive societal, cultural, military, and geopolitical ramifications. Moreover, he notes the profound national security implications that compel all capable nations of pursuing a crash program to AI achieve supremacy:
“Suddenly, superintelligence has morphed from being a problem for humanity into an urgent matter of US national security. ‘The US has a lead,’ he writes. ‘We just have to keep it. And we’re screwing that up right now. Most of all, we must rapidly and radically lock down the AI labs, before we leak key AGI breakthroughs in the next 12-24 months … We must build the computer clusters in the US, not in dictatorships that offer money. And yes, American AI labs have a duty to work with the intelligence community and the military. America’s lead on AGI won’t secure peace and freedom by just building the best AI girlfriend apps. It’s not pretty – but we must build AI for American defence.’
All that’s needed is a new Manhattan Project. And an AGI-industrial complex.”
Naughton is partially correct. Crash programs similar to the Manhattan Project, but focused on AI aren't needed – they're already taking place. And those projects include more than AI alone. They include quantum computing, which will increase the speed and power of AI. And of course, they include molecular manufacturing, which will allow for the sudden scalability of systems and (possibility most important of all) solve the energy requirement concerns surrounding the proliferation of AI and its computer processing requirements. Molecular manufacturing will enable the full realization of the long anticipated potential of solar power. Having every atom in its place will allow for highly efficient collection of the sun's rays and highly efficient solar power storage capabilities.
The impact of molecular manufacturing on almost every field of human endeavor cannot be overstated. In tandem with AI and quantum computing, the nation (or group of nations) in possession of molecular manufacturing will have the world at its feet.
The leader in these fields will have an enormous military advantage over the rest of the world. MAD will be obsolete, and the leading nation will have superior weapons. This nation (or group of nations) will have two choices. It can sit on its advantage and let other molecular manufacturing powers emerge. Or it can use its advantage to the conquer other nations.
It will choose the second option. How can I be so sure? Because the first option will result in an unstable arms race that will inevitably lead to worldwide annihilation. Remember, MAD will no longer be effective.
This makes it inevitable the leading nation will use its first mover advantage to set up a global empire. Vladimir Putin knows this. That’s why he said, “the one who becomes the leader in this sphere will be the ruler of the world.” I’m sure Putin imagines he’ll win the race and establish a world empire for himself. But regardless of who wins, the leading nation(s) will draw the same conclusion – global empire is the only available course of action.
This shouldn’t surprise you, because the Bible says the same thing.
What the Bible Says
Those who study bible prophecy have long known what the Bible predicts for the end times. The Bible says a global empire will exist, one that rules every person on earth (Revelation 13:7). This empire will crush and devour the whole world (Daniel 7:23). And when it does, it will control almost every aspect of human life – to the point of determining “who can buy and who can sell” (Revelation 13:17).
According to Vladimir Putin, the leader in artificial intelligence will set up this global empire. He knows it. And other world leaders know it. Have no doubt about it, his 2017 statement was a public admission of an ongoing race. It’s a race among world governments. A race to develop new post-MAD technologies.
And these technologies include more than the artificial intelligence he cited. They include quantum computing and other technologies. Most importantly, they include the most powerful of all advanced technologies, the technology Ralph Merkle called, “the physical underpinning for the singularity” – molecular manufacturing. In this race, there’s no second place. Second place gets nothing. First place gets the whole world. That’s quite a prize. So have no doubt, the race is on right now.
It’s just one more sign of the times in which we live. Jesus is coming!

I love this article. Thank you so much my brother and keep up the good work. May God bless you every day of your life.
I'm sitting here, stunned. Thank you, Britt, for this article. So much is explained and makes sense now, such as Elon Musk talking about the 'singularity' that we're approaching; Zuckerberg visiting President Trump at Mar-a-Lago and Vance appointed as VP, who, as you surely know has been heavily financed by Peter Thiel.
In the 70's I studied programming, and one of my professors, a fairly morose individual, spoke often of the days when what we were learning then would be as ancient as something from medieval times. He spoke of days to come when the computers we knew and used then as being laughably antique, and and that soon, people would use unimaginably sophisticated machines that would be so advanced they could manipulate atoms instead of 0's and 1's.
Many things now come together and make sense as never before. Again, I am telling you how very grateful I am to you, for the gift you gave me to watch and learn from videos and articles such as this one and to God for enabling and gifting you. May He keep you and your loved ones safe in his arms.
