Stock market crashes tend to play out over months and years, not days. I expect that will be the case with today's market as well.
However, in the Great Crash of 1929, we also saw two days (often referred to as Black Monday and Black Tuesday) where the market declined 23% in 48 hours. Could we see a two-day crash of such magnitude today?
Yes, current conditions tell us there's a heightened risk of such a crash.
